Figuring that after 2 years of trying it was time to get serious.  The car was well sorted but still lacked power, so it was time for forced induction.  The supercharged engine gave us plenty of power. Unfortunately, disaster struck and the engine melted down during the first lap of the first event. Not to be stopped we continued in a rented Nissan Maxima.

Diaster struck two more times that month.  After returning for the One Lap I got a call from the dealership that was storing the BMW for me. Someone broke into their lot and stripped the car of its gauges, radio, dash, trunk (w/ wing) and amplifiers. Then two days later, my daily driver’s transmission exploded.  That happened twice that year.

That year ended on a down note. Since then I’ve been rebuilding the car to make yet another run at the Luxury Car trophy.
